FINE ART Poetically Illuminates Huangmei Opera The Cloud Knows the Mountain
FINE ART Poetically Illuminates Huangmei Opera The Cloud Knows the Mountain
Recently, the new masterpiece The Cloud Knows the Mountain by Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater was performed at Anhui Grand Theatre. Amid the sea of clouds over Huangshan Mountain, a new melody of Huangmei opera about dreams and perseverance gently resounded.

The Cloud Knows the Mountain plants its story in the green mountains and mist, following the journey of a country girl named Ayun as she pursues her dream of building a garden. Together with her husband Ashan, she faces difficulties such as lack of funds and family misunderstanding. With the persistent spirit of "if there are no flowers before the steps, I will plant them; if there is no fruit in the garden, I will grow them," she creates a poetic "garden" out of ordinary life. Set in the core location of the "Cloud-Knowing" guesthouse, the landlady Ayun meets one guest after another, stepping into their hidden cares and concerns.

The play adopts a structure of non-stop scenes. While retaining the rustic and earthy character of Huangmei opera, it incorporates contemporary musical vocabulary and poetic stage aesthetics, allowing this ancient theatrical form to radiate a warm power that transcends generations. FINE ART deeply participated with multiple professional lighting fixtures, using precise light and shadow to shape and color this cloud-and-mountain dreamscape.

The FINE 1700LH BSWF four-in-one framing light served as the workhorse. With an effective range of up to 100 meters and excellent light quality (Ra and R9 both greater than 95), it delicately reproduced the layered haze of the Huangshan sea of clouds and the skin texture of the characters during dance movements. The combination of rotating gobo wheel, fixed gobo wheel, and dynamic effect wheel gradually unfolded the poetic picture of the changing seasons in Ayun's guesthouse.

The FINE 1700L WASH PERF wash and framing light, with a luminous flux output of over 50,000 lm, combined with CMY infinite color mixing and CTO linear color temperature adjustment, bathed the stage in myriad atmospheres – from morning mist to twilight haze. The FINE 4037 WASH PLUS high-power LED wash light, with a wide zoom range from 4° to 60° and smooth, delicate dimming performance, met all lighting needs of the play – from intimate soliloquies to lively ensemble scenes. It also offered flicker-free start-up at low brightness, perfectly matching the gentle charm of Huangmei opera.

The FINE 6010 BATTEN IP bar effect light flexibly outlined the space with a zoom range of 3° to 45°. Its 300 LED beads were arranged in separate segments on each side, with built‑in rich color macros and effect macros, injecting a lively visual rhythm into the transitions of time and space.
FINE ART Illuminates the New Classical Epic Stage Play "Primitive Ancestor of Humanity"
FINE ART Illuminates the New Classical Epic Stage Play "Primitive Ancestor of Humanity"

Set against the backdrop of tribal conflicts in the late Neolithic period, the play follows the transformation of the Yellow Emperor from responding to aggression with advocacy of harmony, to shifting from conquest to alliance. It profoundly interprets the worldview of "valuing harmony and cooperation," the governing wisdom of "winning people by virtue," and the political ideal of "putting the people first." The drama shows how Chinese civilization gradually moved toward unity amid conflict and integration – establishing rules to stop plunder, inventing writing and tools to promote civilization, blending various tribal totems into the "dragon," and ultimately achieving "all under heaven as one family." This not only revives the spiritual origin of the Chinese nation's diversity in unity but also calls for contemporary values of transcending opposition and moving toward coexistence, conveying the eternal ethical themes of benevolence, integrity, sacrifice, and peace.

The stage design retains the primal power of the ancient era – rough rock textures, the feel of animal hide and linen, the raw tension of tribal totems – while incorporating advanced contemporary stage technology: the flow of light and shadow simulates the cycle of sunrise and sunset; mechanical devices bring the South-pointing Chariot and Kui Drum to life on stage; the sound design even recreates Neolithic ceremonial drumbeats and natural soundscapes. During the performance, FINE ART lighting fixtures, with their exceptional optical performance and stable onstage operation, helped complete the transition from the wild barbarism of tribal warfare to the grand vision of universal harmony.

As the workhorse of the stage, the FINE 1700LH BSWF LED moving head light combines beam, wash, pattern, and framing functions. With Ra and R9 both exceeding 95, its light quality accurately reproduces the rough rock textures and the natural grain of animal hide and linen on stage. Equipped with one rotating gobo wheel, one fixed gobo wheel, a dynamic effect wheel, and a full framing system that can rotate ±90°, it produces sharp, distortion-free cut and framing, vividly outlining the primal tension of the totems.

The FINE 608 BATTEN moving head bar light features eight 60W RGBW four-in-one LEDs. Within a zoom range of 5° to 50°, at the narrowest angle the beam is full without crossover, outlining the solemn lines of the Kui Drum in sacrificial scenes; at wide angles, color mixing is excellent, delicately simulating the natural flow of light from sunrise and sunset to raging flames of war.

At the forefront of the stage, the FINE 150 FT color professional footlight sculpts the characters with delicate brushstrokes. Its R, G, B, L four-color mixing system produces white light with color temperatures from 2500K to 10000K, with Ra and R9 both above 90. With soft and even coverage, it washes the faces of every "common person." As the totems on stage are forged into the dragon through light and shadow, FINE ART uses light as a brush – not only illuminating the inventions of the Yellow Emperor era but also reflecting the national root of diversity in unity, coexistence and shared prosperity.

Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd. Safeguards the Poetic Premiere of the Stage Play "Green Awancang"
On the evening of January 28th, the Gansu Yellow River Theater was filled to capacity, with applause and tears interweaving. The grand premiere of the large-scale original stage play "Green Awancang" – a project supported by both the 2026 National Arts Fund and the Gansu Provincial Arts Fund – was held here. It successfully presented the touching story of Comrade Wang Wanqing, an outstanding Communist Party member recognized as a "Touching China" figure in 2010 for dedicating 56 years to healing the sick on the grassland of Gannan, to a broad audience through vivid stage art.

The play "Green Awancang" is based on Comrade Wang Wanqing, artistically shaping the character "Fang Yuan," a graduate of Shanghai Medical College. Driven by the youthful ideal of "going where the motherland needs him most," he resolutely journeys to the Awancang grassland in Maqu County, Gannan, with an average altitude of 3,500 meters. On stage, the creative team, through masterful artistry, vividly recreates the protagonist's struggle: working in harsh conditions with scarce medicine, severe climate, and language barriers; using a tent as a clinic and a horse as a medicine chest; braving wind and snow to reach remote pastoral areas; overcoming numerous difficulties; and dedicating his life's work to the grassland's healthcare and the people of all ethnic groups. Fifty-six years of quiet perseverance are not just a personal epic of dedication but also a profound tribute to the fraternal bond and mutual support between Han and Tibetan compatriots.

On the night of the performance, the charm of stage art and the power of the role model's spirit illuminated each other. Skillful transitions between vast, majestic grassland imagery and meticulously detailed life scenes instantly transported the audience to that vibrant land. The portrayal of "Fang Yuan" by actor Zhu Heng, from a young student to a silver-haired healer, captured the span of a lifetime and the layered depth of his inner world with remarkable precision, profoundly interpreting the power of faith and the weight of perseverance. The sincerity and kindness of the Tibetan compatriots, the resilience and optimism of the grassland people, and the profound, blood-is-thicker-than-water bonds between doctor and patient and among ethnic groups struck a deep chord through the actors' heartfelt and full-bodied performances. As the final curtain fell, many in the audience were moved to tears, lingering long after the show ended.

The professional lighting by Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd. played a fundamental role in constructing the visual journey from the boundless grasslands to the inner universe. The FINE 1700LH BSWF hybrid moving head, with its excellent color rendering (Ra >95, R9 >95), ensured that every blade of grass on the meadow, the rich colors of Tibetan robes, and even the fine wrinkles and glimmers on the healer's face were presented with incredibly realistic texture, making the portrayal of the role model both credible and respectable.

The FINE 550 BSW PLUS triple-hybrid fixture, with its robust beam (output lens Ø169mm) and rich CMY+CTO color system, effortlessly handled the transitions: from the bright vitality of the Shanghai campus, to the cold severity of a grassland snowstorm night, and finally to the warm hues of the human glow inside the tent clinic. The FINE 4037 WASH PLUS moving wash light, with its smooth, and jitter-free precision dimming, allowed light and shadow to ebb and flow like breathing in sync with the performance's rhythm, perfectly meeting the stage play's demanding requirements for emotional expression through lighting.

Ultimately, as the light of a lifelong commitment shone in the final scene, all the visual vocabulary of light converged into an emotional torrent, reaching directly into the hearts of the audience. With its stable and expressive interplay of light and shadow, Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd. allowed the youthful vow to "go where the motherland needs us most" and the transcendent medical compassion that bridges ethnicities to resonate powerfully and enduringly on stage.

Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd. Lights Up Hanzhou Opera "Twin Theater Towers," Capturing the Epic Saga of Qin-Chu Trade Routes

"Twin Theater Towers" is an original Hanzhou opera production that deeply showcases the regional cultural characteristics of Shanyang and inherits the rich historical heritage of Manchuan Pass. As a vivid testament to the integration of Qin and Chu cultures, the twin theaters with their grey bricks and black tiles depicted in the opera not only witness the exchanges between Qin and Chu merchants but also symbolize the rise and fall of families and the nation over a century. They stand as the perfect embodiment of "Harmony as the Most Precious" spirit. The rich, mellow melodies of Hanzhou opera sing of personal affections and national righteousness in turbulent times, unfolding the commercial rivalry and cooperation between Qin and Chu merchants along the ancient Silk Road, as well as the patriotic sentiments and fearless sacrifice demonstrated in times of crisis.

During the live performance, the actors, with their solid vocal skills and nuanced acting, vividly portrayed the joys and sorrows of their characters. The audience held their breath, their emotions rising and falling with the plot, completely immersed in the unique charm of Hanzhou opera. The show was not merely a feast for the eyes and ears but also a profound spiritual journey.

The professional lighting by Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd. empowered the Hanzhou opera "Twin Theater Towers" to recreate a century of history on stage. To accurately reproduce the historical texture of the grey bricks and black tiles and the exquisite embroidery of the costumes, the FINE 1700LH BSWF and FINE 1400LH BSWF hybrid moving heads, with their high color rendering index (Ra>95, R9>90), brought authentic vitality to every detail. The patented cooling system of the fixtures ensured low-noise operation, allowing the resonant singing to fill the theater uninterrupted.

The FINE 1400 WASH PERF, with its soft light beam and high efficiency, utilized its ample 47,000-lumen luminous flux to magnificently render the grandeur of the ancient trade routes and delicately set the scene for intimate dialogues under moonlight. Meanwhile, the FINE 600 BSW II, equipped with a rich color system including CMY+CTO, a color wheel, 13 color filters, and white light, achieved seamless transitions between the cold, stern shadows of commercial rivalry and the warm, inner light of human emotions.

As the narrative reached its climax, highlighting themes of national righteousness and supreme sacrifice, the hundreds of built-in effect macros in the FINE 608 BATTEN batten lights created dazzling, dynamic lighting effects. These visuals transformed the core message of "Harmony as the Most Precious" and the solemn sentiment of sacrifice into a visually striking crescendo, ultimately allowing this timeless story of "Harmony and Unity" to reach its fulfillment through the interplay of light and shadow.
FINE Technology Powers the Grand Premiere of the Dance Drama "Great Waves, A Thousand Sails"
FINE Technology Powers the Grand Premiere of the Dance Drama "Great Waves, A Thousand Sails"
From January 5th to 7th, the dance drama "Great Waves, A Thousand Sails" premiered magnificently at the Blue Sea Silk Road Grand Theatre. Guided and supported by the Publicity Department of the CPC Beihai Municipal Committee and the Municipal Tourism, Culture and Sports Bureau, and created and performed by the Municipal Literary and Art Exchange Center, the production has been successfully selected as a project funded by the National Arts Fund. It represents a significant achievement in Beihai's efforts to delve into its historical and cultural resources and create high-quality urban artistic works.

The creation process of this dance drama was meticulous and dedicated, assembling an outstanding creative team including director Wang Yabin and composer Lü Liang. After over a year of careful refinement, every aspect from script and choreography to music and stage design was meticulously honed. Based on the history of Daliang Port in Hepu, "Great Waves, A Thousand Sails" artistically recreates the magnificent journey of the ancient Hepu people who built the port with their flesh and blood, opening the Maritime Silk Road. It interprets the spirit of the people of Beihai thriving by the sea and courageously riding the tides. The core story revolves around the fate of two generations of craftsmen, father and son Lü. During the Western Han Dynasty, to open the Maritime Silk Road, Lü Zheng was tasked with building a port and city in Daliang Village. His son, Lü Jun, participated in the construction under his father's leadership. Suddenly struck by a typhoon, the port was destroyed. Lü Zheng sacrificed himself to protect the port and save the people, while Lü Jun was swept away by the waves to Weizhou Island and rescued by a fisherwoman named Shanhu. Relying on each other, Lü Jun's hope was rekindled, and he became determined to fulfill his father's legacy. He returned to Daliang, led the people to overcome countless difficulties, and finally built Daliang Port. The port stood tall, merchant ships from myriad nations gathered, and the Silk Road prospered. The drama portrays both the bustling scene of port construction and the perilous moment of the typhoon's onslaught, while also depicting the spiritual relay and emotional bond between father and son, infusing warmth into the grand history of pioneering the Silk Road.

As the grand picture of the dance drama "Great Waves, A Thousand Sails" unfolds on stage, it relies on precise and creative lighting narratives behind the scenes. FINE Technology contributes professional lighting equipment to help shape this epic journey through millennia.

The **FINE 608 BATTEN LED Moving Bar Effect Light** flexibly adapts to the dual demands of grandiosity and subtlety: when depicting epic scenes of a thousand ships racing and tens of thousands building the port, its wide **5° to 50° zoom range** and high light output of over **6000 lumens** can instantly create a uniform, full, and powerful wash of light, recreating the majestic momentum of the labor site. Furthermore, the built-in **100 color macros and 47 effect macros** provide endless possibilities for simulating complex and changing environments and emotions.

Faced with a dance drama containing multiple chapters—"Decision, Peril, Rebirth, Success"—and intense emotional fluctuations, lighting changes must achieve millisecond-level synchronization with dance rhythm, musical emotion, and plot twists. This is precisely the core value of the **TEKMAND III Lighting Console**. Equipped with powerful processing capabilities, and when connected to the **TEKMAND DPU 16P**, it can handle over **65,000 parameters in real-time**. This ensures that in chaotic scenes like the "typhoon onslaught," the lights can flash fiercely and cut rapidly like a violent storm; while during the tender moments between Lü Jun and Shanhu, they can transform into soft, gradient, and delicate rendering.
