FINE ART FINE 6019 PIXIE IP Illuminates the Magnificent Legend of Ode to the Horse

On the evening of April 22, on the nearly 10,000-square-meter super-large performance ground of the Inner Mongolia Ethnic Minority Cultural and Sports Activity Center, the first performance of the 2026 season of the large-scale equestrian panoramic epic Ode to the Horse was staged with stunning impact. As a groundbreaking resident production that fills the gap in the region's real-scene equestrian performances, the show has become a phenomenon-level calling card for the deep integration of culture and tourism in Inner Mongolia, thanks to its grand outdoor real-scene scale and immersive viewing experience.

The whole play follows the life of a herdsman's son. From "The Heavenly Horse Descends" to "Ode to the Horse," a five-chapter narrative unfolds the deep journey of man and horse meeting, accompanying each other, and living and dying together. The performance combines equestrian skills, Mongolian song, dance, music, acrobatics and other artistic elements, together with high-definition projection, panoramic LED and high-tech sound, light and electricity effects, creating a visual wonder of "the sky as the dome and the earth as the stage." Thousands of horses gallop through the mist; difficult stunts such as mid-air somersaults on horseback and pyramid formations on horseback are breathtakingly spectacular. Long songs and khoomei pierce the night sky, telling the deep bond between grassland children and their horses throughout their lives, vividly displaying the spiritual character of the Mongolian horse: resilience, courage, loyalty, benevolence and restraint.

In this immersive feast of thousands of horses galloping on the grassland, FINE ART's FINE 6019 PIXIE IP professional high-power LED all-weather moving head wash light provided full support throughout, infusing the grassland legend with soul through outstanding light efficiency.

The new optical system of the FINE 6019 PIXIE IP balances both color mixing uniformity and soft effects. With a unique zoom range from a powerful 3.2° beam to a wide 65° soft wash, it can focus closely on the affectionate gaze between rider and horse, and also bathe the vast canvas of beacon fires and solitary smoke in the desert in its light, meeting the diverse lighting needs of the nearly 10,000-square-meter stage.

微信图片_2026-04-24_153221_693

The wash effect of the FINE 6019 PIXIE IP is particularly outstanding: azure blue as if washed, spreading the deep stillness of the night sky over the Chile River grassland, echoing the distant notes of Mongolian long songs; jade green like lush grass, flowing across the boundless sea of grassland, reflecting the tender warmth of the horseback home; flame red igniting the solemn intensity of beacon fire and smoke of war, pushing the grand momentum of a thousand horses setting off on an expedition to a climax. In addition, its full-protection design provides seven major functions including smoke-resistance, UV-resistance, sand-and-dust-resistance, corrosion-resistance, and high/low temperature resistance. It requires no frequent cleaning or maintenance, operating maintenance-free, saving time, effort and trouble.

As the sound of horse hooves shakes the entire venue, FINE ART uses light as a brush – not only illuminating the warmth of the horseback home and the grandeur of the thousand-horse expedition, but also reflecting the unceasing contemporary spirit of the grassland children striving for self-renewal.

FINE ART Poetically Illuminates Huangmei Opera The Cloud Knows the Mountain

Recently, the new masterpiece The Cloud Knows the Mountain by Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater was performed at Anhui Grand Theatre. Amid the sea of clouds over Huangshan Mountain, a new melody of Huangmei opera about dreams and perseverance gently resounded.

The Cloud Knows the Mountain plants its story in the green mountains and mist, following the journey of a country girl named Ayun as she pursues her dream of building a garden. Together with her husband Ashan, she faces difficulties such as lack of funds and family misunderstanding. With the persistent spirit of "if there are no flowers before the steps, I will plant them; if there is no fruit in the garden, I will grow them," she creates a poetic "garden" out of ordinary life. Set in the core location of the "Cloud-Knowing" guesthouse, the landlady Ayun meets one guest after another, stepping into their hidden cares and concerns.

The play adopts a structure of non-stop scenes. While retaining the rustic and earthy character of Huangmei opera, it incorporates contemporary musical vocabulary and poetic stage aesthetics, allowing this ancient theatrical form to radiate a warm power that transcends generations. FINE ART deeply participated with multiple professional lighting fixtures, using precise light and shadow to shape and color this cloud-and-mountain dreamscape.

The FINE 1700LH BSWF four-in-one framing light served as the workhorse. With an effective range of up to 100 meters and excellent light quality (Ra and R9 both greater than 95), it delicately reproduced the layered haze of the Huangshan sea of clouds and the skin texture of the characters during dance movements. The combination of rotating gobo wheel, fixed gobo wheel, and dynamic effect wheel gradually unfolded the poetic picture of the changing seasons in Ayun's guesthouse.

The FINE 1700L WASH PERF wash and framing light, with a luminous flux output of over 50,000 lm, combined with CMY infinite color mixing and CTO linear color temperature adjustment, bathed the stage in myriad atmospheres – from morning mist to twilight haze. The FINE 4037 WASH PLUS high-power LED wash light, with a wide zoom range from 4° to 60° and smooth, delicate dimming performance, met all lighting needs of the play – from intimate soliloquies to lively ensemble scenes. It also offered flicker-free start-up at low brightness, perfectly matching the gentle charm of Huangmei opera.

The FINE 6010 BATTEN IP bar effect light flexibly outlined the space with a zoom range of 3° to 45°. Its 300 LED beads were arranged in separate segments on each side, with built‑in rich color macros and effect macros, injecting a lively visual rhythm into the transitions of time and space.

FINE ART Illuminates the New Classical Epic Stage Play "Primitive Ancestor of Humanity"

On April 9, 2026, the new classical Chinese epic stage play Primitive Ancestor of Humanity, produced by Xi'an Performing Arts Group · Xi'an Drama Theater, continued its trial performance at Xi'an New City Theater. Using contemporary theatrical aesthetics to trace the origins of civilization, the production awakened echoes of a thousand years.

Set against the backdrop of tribal conflicts in the late Neolithic period, the play follows the transformation of the Yellow Emperor from responding to aggression with advocacy of harmony, to shifting from conquest to alliance. It profoundly interprets the worldview of "valuing harmony and cooperation," the governing wisdom of "winning people by virtue," and the political ideal of "putting the people first." The drama shows how Chinese civilization gradually moved toward unity amid conflict and integration – establishing rules to stop plunder, inventing writing and tools to promote civilization, blending various tribal totems into the "dragon," and ultimately achieving "all under heaven as one family." This not only revives the spiritual origin of the Chinese nation's diversity in unity but also calls for contemporary values of transcending opposition and moving toward coexistence, conveying the eternal ethical themes of benevolence, integrity, sacrifice, and peace.

The stage design retains the primal power of the ancient era – rough rock textures, the feel of animal hide and linen, the raw tension of tribal totems – while incorporating advanced contemporary stage technology: the flow of light and shadow simulates the cycle of sunrise and sunset; mechanical devices bring the South-pointing Chariot and Kui Drum to life on stage; the sound design even recreates Neolithic ceremonial drumbeats and natural soundscapes. During the performance, FINE ART lighting fixtures, with their exceptional optical performance and stable onstage operation, helped complete the transition from the wild barbarism of tribal warfare to the grand vision of universal harmony.

As the workhorse of the stage, the FINE 1700LH BSWF LED moving head light combines beam, wash, pattern, and framing functions. With Ra and R9 both exceeding 95, its light quality accurately reproduces the rough rock textures and the natural grain of animal hide and linen on stage. Equipped with one rotating gobo wheel, one fixed gobo wheel, a dynamic effect wheel, and a full framing system that can rotate ±90°, it produces sharp, distortion-free cut and framing, vividly outlining the primal tension of the totems.

The FINE 608 BATTEN moving head bar light features eight 60W RGBW four-in-one LEDs. Within a zoom range of 5° to 50°, at the narrowest angle the beam is full without crossover, outlining the solemn lines of the Kui Drum in sacrificial scenes; at wide angles, color mixing is excellent, delicately simulating the natural flow of light from sunrise and sunset to raging flames of war.

At the forefront of the stage, the FINE 150 FT color professional footlight sculpts the characters with delicate brushstrokes. Its R, G, B, L four-color mixing system produces white light with color temperatures from 2500K to 10000K, with Ra and R9 both above 90. With soft and even coverage, it washes the faces of every "common person." As the totems on stage are forged into the dragon through light and shadow, FINE ART uses light as a brush – not only illuminating the inventions of the Yellow Emperor era but also reflecting the national root of diversity in unity, coexistence and shared prosperity.

On the eve of the 2026 Chinese New Year, the China Media Group Spring Festival Gala, themed "Galloping into the Future with Unstoppable Momentum," delivered a heartwarming cultural feast of reunion for global Chinese audiences. This was achieved through the interconnection of the main studio in Beijing and four sub-venues in Harbin, Yiwu, Hefei, and Yibin. Colorful Technology supported the brilliant presentations at the Beijing main studio, the Harbin sub-venue, and the Hefei sub-venue with over 1,500 high-quality luminaires, infusing the screens with novelty through light and shadow for this grand national celebration.

At the Beijing main studio, the grandeur of national elegance harmonized with the fresh voices of the era. Song and dance performances, operas, and creative shows followed one after another, perfectly blending the profound heritage of Chinese culture with innovative vitality. The Harbin sub-venue partnered with the Gala for the third time. On the crystal-clear stage of the Ice and Snow World, musical performances, symphonies, and ballets complemented each other. The warmth and hospitality of the people from Northeast China, along with the unique charm of a "warm world amidst ice and snow," blossomed brilliantly through the interplay of ice crystals and dynamic lighting. The Hefei sub-venue ingeniously integrated the charm of Anhui culture with technological creativity. The ink-wash painting-like stage mood perfectly complemented the melodious tunes of Huangmei Opera, while formations of low-altitude aircraft soaring through the night sky sketched sparkling sparks of humanity and innovation.

To perfectly present the unique stage charms of the three locations, Colorful Technology provided a robust guarantee with its powerful product matrix. Over 500 FINE 1700LH BSWF multi-function profile lights, with an effective range of up to 100 meters and a Color Rendering Index greater than 95 for both Ra and R9, accurately captured every color detail and the performers' essence, whether for the magnificent song and dance at the main studio or the spectacular icy scenes at the sub-venues. Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd. Elevates Peking Opera "Loyal Souls of Lu'an" to New Artistic Heights

On a frigid winter night, the inaugural public performance of "Loyal Souls of Lu'an" — a major stage production supported by the 2025 National Arts Fund and presented by the Tianjin Peking Opera Theatre — stirred profound emotions, moving the audience to tears.

Adapted from the Zhang (Shilin) School classic martial opera "Lu'an Zhou," this production dramatizes the historical defense of Lu'an by Northern Song General Lu Deng and his family's ultimate sacrifice. It explores the enduring relevance of traditional Chinese values of loyalty and righteousness. Faithful to the principle of "honoring tradition while embracing innovation," the opera preserves the essence of Peking Opera and the distinctive "precision, energy, and spirit" of the Zhang School martial male role. At the same time, it incorporates contemporary aesthetics by deepening character emotions and intensifying dramatic conflict, seeking to resonate with modern audiences both emotionally and culturally.

Before the performance even began, the three-dimensional relief stage design immersed the audience in a distant historical era. An ethereal children's rhyme, "Peach blossoms so red, apricot blossoms so white," wafted through the air like a breeze from the Northern Song dynasty, evoking pastoral serenity. This tranquility was abruptly shattered by the sudden crash of war drums. Each scene was meticulously crafted: the graceful dance of a Song courtesan in the Jin camp, the contrasting military drills of the Song and Jin armies, the slow-motion portrayal of battlefield chaos. Stark red lighting combined with swirling haze created the illusion of a dust-choked sky. The dynamic sets, atmospheric lighting transitions, and precise musical scoring together forged a theatrical space that was both poetically expressive and visually powerful.

The climactic scenes depicting the bloody defense of Lu'an were particularly gripping. The confrontation between General Lu Deng, his son, and the Jin army's dreaded "Iron Pagoda" cavalry was a highlight. Through a whirling group dance representing "flying spiked maces" and acrobatic leaps evading the cavalry formation, the actors used their bodies as brushes to paint vivid, dynamic battle tableaux across the stage.

This martial opera, emphasizing both "form" and "momentum," demanded high-quality lighting support. Guangzhou CAIYI Technology Co., Ltd.'s equipment played a key role in merging the opera's traditional spirit with modern visual artistry. The FINE 1700LH BSWF hybrid moving head provided a reliable foundation. Its superior color rendering (Ra & R9 >95) ensured emotionally resonant and true-to-life colors in every scene—from the soft glow of the opening to the harsh reds of the battlefield—maintaining excellent color fidelity (Ra ≥90, color temperature shift ≤ ±100K) even at dimmed intensities of 20%.

The FINE 600 BSW II triple-hybrid fixture, with its comprehensive color system (CMY+CTO, color wheel, 13 dichroic filters, white) and gobo assortment (rotating and fixed wheels), sculpted the space with sharp beams to heighten the menace of the "Iron Pagoda" formation. Its rotating gobos effectively simulated the motion of whirling weapons and the vastness of a sandstorm. The FINE 400 CL7, featuring a 7-color full-spectrum optical design and an output exceeding 16,000 lumens, produced uniform, grand, and richly layered washes. These seamlessly integrated with the deep stage space defined by the relief scenery, crafting a lighting canvas that was both weighty and artistically expressive for this tale of loyalty and sacrifice.
