The 5th Chinese Yue Opera Festival opens in Shaoxing

On the evening of July 31, the 5th Chinese Yue Opera Art Festival kicked off in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, the hometown of Yue opera.
The festival is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Zhejiang Provincial Government, and undertaken by the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Shaoxing Municipal Government.
The Chinese Yue Opera Art Festival is a state-level art festival held every four years. The 5th Chinese Yue Opera Art Festival lasted for 20 days, and 45 excellent Yue opera plays were invited to participate in the performance, including 15 high-quality plays, 20 traditional classic plays and 10 private Yue opera troupes. The troupes were all over Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Fujian.
Since it was founded in 2006 and settled permanently in Zhejiang Province, the Chinese Yue Opera Festival has played a great role in inheriting the gentle temperament of Yue opera art, promoting the prosperity and development of Yue opera cause, and promoting the spiritual wealth of the people.
After the opening ceremony, the opening ceremony performance with the theme of "More to the future" kicked off. Performance from Shanghai, nanjing YueJuTuan, zhejiang XiaoBaiHua yue yue yue, hangzhou, ningbo xiaobaihua yue opera troupe, shaoxing YueJuTuan, shaoxing ko bridge XiaoBaiHua kun opera art study center, including more than 10 shaoxing opera plum blossom prize and wenhua winner has used, famous star MingDuan boutiques carnival, colorful, the composite exhibits the shaoxing opera stage art development new achievements.
