The dance drama 'Hehuang' brings together excellent domestic stage creation teams. Yang Zhuyun of the China Opera and Dance Theater is the chief director, and Zhang Shuo is the lighting designer. Together, they compose a creative work that inherits historical imprints and promotes the culture of the Yellow River·Hehuang. The play has been created for nearly two years since its establishment.
The main creative team has gone to the Hehuang area many times to collect folk songs, get close to and understand the unique local natural features, regional culture and national characteristics, extensively collect creative materials, and deeply explore the era value and artistic value contained in the Hehuang culture at the source of the Yellow River.

Through the three independent drama stories of Building Dreams·Hehuang, Watching·Hehuang, and Going toward Hehuang, the play embodies the splendor and variety of China's excellent traditional culture and the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation that has accumulated over thousands of years.
The play traces the footsteps of the Tang-Tibet Ancient Road, the Ancient Tea-Horse Road, and the South Silk Road. From the treasures bred in China over the past five thousand years, such as the painted pottery pot with dancing patterns at the Majiayao site, and the round and inverted copper spear at the Shenna site, as clues, it incorporates Qinghai Huaer, Hehuang Shadow Puppetry, Qingxiu and many other national intangible cultural heritages were collected, and the core and essence of Chinese excellent traditional culture were injected into the dance.

Against the background of the colorful lights at the scene, the dancers chanted the era with their dancing postures, injecting infinite imagination into the limited theater.
Looking at ancient times and modern times for thousands of years, barbaric wars and peaceful civilizations, 'Hehuang' interprets the endless development and continuation across ancient and modern times with a unique narrative perspective and a dance technique that combines fiction and reality.
