On March 14, the new historical drama Qu Yuan, created and performed by Hubei Yangtze River People's Art Theater and Hubei Three Gorges Performing Arts Group, premiered in Wuhan Hongshan Auditorium, marking the official start of the national tour of the play.
The drama Qu Yuan condensed the well-known story of Qu Yuan from the perspective of drama, innovation and inheritance. Through the mysterious poetic quality structure and dramatic expression, it was presented on the drama stage, expressing the simple and profound Oriental cultural spirit and charm.
Since its creation, the play has been selected as the 2023 New Era Stage Art Outstanding Plays Exhibition Project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 2022 Annual Screenplay Support Project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 2023 Large-scale stage plays and Works funded Project of the National Art Fund, and the 2022 Key literary and Artistic Creation Project of Hubei Province.
