FINE ART's Nearly 1,000 Fixtures Illuminate Uzbekistan's 35th Independence Day National Celebration
On the evening of August 28, 2026, Uzbekistan held a grand ceremony at the New City Center Square in the capital, Tashkent, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of national independence. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov, and numerous government officials attended the celebration. Thousands of citizens gathered together, and international top-tier artists such as British soprano Sarah Brightman, Italian tenor Alessandro Safina, and Spanish tenor José Carreras performed on the same stage with renowned Uzbek singers and dancers. The entire celebration integrated 3D projections, lighting effects, and robotic performances, culminating in a dynamic image formed by hundreds of drones in the night sky. The lighting design was created by the Dongyu Huaxing design team, primarily centered on the core theme of the celebration: "With a united homeland and a united people, we will build a new life, a new future!" The design sought to use the language of light and shadow to tell the story of Uzbekistan's 35-year independent journey and its contemporary spirit. With "Light of the East" as its soul and the blue, white, and green of the Uzbek national flag as its base tones, the design integrated the architectural aesthetics of Samarkand's blue domes, the intricate patterns of traditional textiles, and the radiant intermingling light of Silk Road civilizations. It divided light and shadow into three narrative layers: Solemn Tribute – using warm gold to outline the silhouettes of historical architecture; Joyous Celebration – using saturated vermilion, emerald green, and dynamic flowing light to echo the singing, dancing, and crowds in the square; and Future Hope – concluding with a gradient from pale pink to light blue, symbolizing the openness and vitality of the younger generation. This design not only carried national pride but also demonstrated the solemnity of a national ceremony and an international aesthetic vision.
Under the test of this national-level event, FINE ART fixtures delivered a perfect answer with outstanding technical strength.
