The dance drama 'Cavalry' is the first large-scale original dance drama with cavalry as the theme in the history of Chinese stage art, showing the revolutionary process of the Inner Mongolian cavalry during the War of Liberation. It has successively won awards such as the 12th Chinese Dance 'Lotus Award' and the China Copyright Best Content Creation Award. It is the only work selected in Inner Mongolia for the 17th Wenhua Awards.
'Cavalry' tells the story of Chaolu, a young Mongolian student who was inspired by the revolutionary ideology of the Communist Party of China, and resolutely chose to join the Inner Mongolian People's Cavalry to fight for the liberation of the whole of China. He and his war horse 'Gala' charged forward without fear, and finally Chaolu blood was shed on the battlefield. 'Gala' sacrificed heroically. And the loyal soul of the horse returned to the grassland.
The dance drama is divided into six acts, and each act has a highlight paragraph. The visual design of theater dance and lighting is simple and simple. Through the freehand stage space structure, the infinite breadth and magnificence of the grassland are highlighted in the limited. The beautiful, shocking and passionate dance won applause in the theater.
