'Little Old Yang' is a project funded by the National Art Fund. It is a key creative play determined by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, and the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
The whole play is divided into six chapters: War in the Wind and Sand, Bitter Parting of Husband and Wife, Stormy Night, Little Old Poplar on the Beach, Storm in the Forest Area, and Homeland. It tells the story of the Youyu people represented by Poplar Shulin, under the leadership of the party, unswervingly turning the desert and barren hills into an oasis on the fortress, and enthusiastically eulogizes the "Youyu spirit" of hard work and long-term achievements.
The curtain was opened, and a group of farmers performed a shovel dance 'Battle Wind and Sand' amidst a majestic chorus, and the superposition of stone steps formed a visually extended natural landscape, like flowing sand dunes, bringing the audience into the specific situation of Northwest Shanxi in Youyu County, Shanxi Province.
FINEART Lighting used stage lighting to assist the performance of the national opera 'Little Old Yang', and used stage art to tell the history of Shanxi's green waters and green mountains, and to carry forward the 'Youyu Spirit'. The strong wind at the border and the old trees with withered vines, the pastoral oasis and the saplings in the courtyard, the interaction of people and scenery, the contrast of light and shadow, the live lyrics are exciting, classic and atmospheric, and the performance is sincere and moving.
The audience followed the stage lights, crossed space and time, and welcomed an idealistic journey of working together to fight against the yellow sand and turn the world around.
