On the afternoon of May 22, 2023, the School of Music and Dance of Shanxi Technology and Business College held a special performance for the graduation report of the 20-level "Casting Soul Industry and Commerce and Releasing Dreams" dance choreographer material course.
The program focuses on classical Chinese dance body rhyme, dance basic skills training and technical skills, modern dance basic skills training, Chinese ethnic folk dance, directing and rehearsal. The whole performance had a warm atmosphere, won the praise of teachers and students, demonstrated the phased teaching achievements of the 20-level dance choreography material course, and enriched the dance practice experience of college students.
On the afternoon of May 23rd, the School of Music and Dance held a special performance on children's dance works of the 20th-level dance choreography special course. The whole performance was very distinctive. The School of Music and Dance boldly reformed and innovated, integrated Shanxi cultural elements into the curriculum, and created a number of excellent works.The performance was introduced from the course introduction of "Children's Dance Choreography".
Nine works including "Wooden Board Doll", "Lion Dancing Boy" and "Mouse Cave Little Rice Balls" were staged in turn. It ends with the intangible cultural heritage children's work "Lihou Tiger" in Licheng County, Changzhi, which fully demonstrates the educational characteristics of traditional culture in the curriculum.
It is worth mentioning that previously, the rematch of the eighth "Avenue of Stars on Campus" of colleges and universities in Shanxi Province was grandly staged in the gymnasium of Shanxi Technology and Business College. Contestants from nearly forty colleges and universities across the province showed their talents on stage and advanced to the finals.
As a cultural brand activity of Shanxi Technology and Business College and even the whole Shanxi Province, "Campus Avenue of Stars" is an important carrier, practical link and teaching achievement display of great culture and aesthetic education, which effectively promotes colleges and universities to educate people with aesthetics and culture.
The rematch is divided into professional and non-professional groups, with a total of five competitions, hosted by the Communist Youth League Shanxi Provincial Committee and Shanxi Provincial Department of Education, organized by Shanxi Technology and Business College, and co-organized by the Communist Youth League Xiaodian District Committee; Members of the Chinese Musicians Association and Shanxi Musicians Association serve as judges.
The competition is divided into four parts: brilliant debut, talent show, hometown beauty, and beyond dreams. The on-site interaction was enthusiastic, and various performances such as recitation, dance, drama, and musical instrument performance were held, and the contestants actively expressed themselves and released their dreams.
