On May 5, the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games 32 (hereinafter referred to as the "East Games"), the largest sports event in the region in 2023, was held in the Cambodia National Stadium. This East Games is a grand event that Cambodia has been looking forward to for 64 years. The main venue, Dechong National Stadium, was built with Chinese assistance, with a total construction area of 80,000 square meters and a capacity of 60,000 spectators, making it the largest and highest-level stadium built by the Chinese government so far.
