Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of P. R. China
On eve of October 1, 2019, the National Day of China, more than 10,000 people sang and danced together in Tiananmen Square to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.
The National Day Celebration festival last for 90 minutes and was composed of four performance areas: the theme show, the central celebration show, the mass celebration and the fireworks show. Zhang Yimou was the chief director, and Sha Xiaolan led the Feng Shang Wenhua team to design and operate the lighting.
The theme performance is the main part and a innovation of the festival, which is presented by 3290 people holding screens and other performance props. In order to express the theme, the world's first super-high-power moving lights developed by FINE ART, FINE 1800 PERF, FINE 1800 BEAM WASH, FINE 1800 WASH PERF, and follow spot light FINE 4000XF with powerful beam and long-distance projection were used on both sides of Tiananmen Square.
The performance area which was composed of thousands of symphony orchestra and choir was one of the difficulties in this festival. Due to the limitation of the venue, the lighting design team had to set up the light fixtures on the top of the Great Hall, National Expo. FINE ART outdoor light FINE 470 BEAM IP was chosen to be the main luminare to light up the venue.
