On the evening of April 22, on the nearly 10,000-square-meter super-large performance ground of the Inner Mongolia Ethnic Minority Cultural and Sports Activity Center, the first performance of the 2026 season of the large-scale equestrian panoramic epic Ode to the Horse was staged with stunning impact. As a groundbreaking resident production that fills the gap in the region's real-scene equestrian performances, the show has become a phenomenon-level calling card for the deep integration of culture and tourism in Inner Mongolia, thanks to its grand outdoor real-scene scale and immersive viewing experience.

The whole play follows the life of a herdsman's son. From "The Heavenly Horse Descends" to "Ode to the Horse," a five-chapter narrative unfolds the deep journey of man and horse meeting, accompanying each other, and living and dying together. The performance combines equestrian skills, Mongolian song, dance, music, acrobatics and other artistic elements, together with high-definition projection, panoramic LED and high-tech sound, light and electricity effects, creating a visual wonder of "the sky as the dome and the earth as the stage." Thousands of horses gallop through the mist; difficult stunts such as mid-air somersaults on horseback and pyramid formations on horseback are breathtakingly spectacular. Long songs and khoomei pierce the night sky, telling the deep bond between grassland children and their horses throughout their lives, vividly displaying the spiritual character of the Mongolian horse: resilience, courage, loyalty, benevolence and restraint.

In this immersive feast of thousands of horses galloping on the grassland, FINE ART's FINE 6019 PIXIE IP professional high-power LED all-weather moving head wash light provided full support throughout, infusing the grassland legend with soul through outstanding light efficiency.

The new optical system of the FINE 6019 PIXIE IP balances both color mixing uniformity and soft effects. With a unique zoom range from a powerful 3.2° beam to a wide 65° soft wash, it can focus closely on the affectionate gaze between rider and horse, and also bathe the vast canvas of beacon fires and solitary smoke in the desert in its light, meeting the diverse lighting needs of the nearly 10,000-square-meter stage.

The wash effect of the FINE 6019 PIXIE IP is particularly outstanding: azure blue as if washed, spreading the deep stillness of the night sky over the Chile River grassland, echoing the distant notes of Mongolian long songs; jade green like lush grass, flowing across the boundless sea of grassland, reflecting the tender warmth of the horseback home; flame red igniting the solemn intensity of beacon fire and smoke of war, pushing the grand momentum of a thousand horses setting off on an expedition to a climax. In addition, its full-protection design provides seven major functions including smoke-resistance, UV-resistance, sand-and-dust-resistance, corrosion-resistance, and high/low temperature resistance. It requires no frequent cleaning or maintenance, operating maintenance-free, saving time, effort and trouble.

Tracing the Legend of the Luo Goddess: A Beam of Light, Witnessing a Millennium's Grace

From Cao Zhi's reverie by the Luo River to the ten-thousand-year cultural vein of Luoyang City, the performance takes the form of "walking immersion" and uses light as ink, sketching the cosmic code of the "River Map and Luo Writings" and the soulful charm of the stone carvings at the "Longmen World Heritage Site." As the audience moves through changing scenes, they seem to step into a flowing scroll of time and space, completing a profound dialogue with the origins of Chinese civilization amidst the interplay of light and shadow.

Just Like Our Youthful Days: Light Recreates "Youthful Comrades"

At Orange Isle Head, youth and faith are awakened by light. The audience is no longer mere spectators but becomes one of the "youthful comrades," walking alongside the figures of ideals from a century ago within the moving theater. Light skillfully segments time and space, transforming the weight of history into touchable fervor, allowing the cry of "questioning aspiration, seeking aspiration, establishing aspiration" to resonate once more in the heart.

The Red Detachment of Women: A Romantic Hue Amidst Mountains and Waters

Using the tropical rainforest as a natural backdrop, light intertwines with explosions and wirework, recreating the years of war. Dynamic seating carries the audience through the story. The lighting not only illuminates the resolute faces of the female soldiers but also renders the deep night of Qiongya and the fiery glow of the revolutionary spark, making the epic surge between heaven and earth.

Colorful Guizhou: An Enduring Ethnic Tapestry

Twenty years, over 5,000 performances—this show has become the cultural pulse of Guizhou. Light gently brushes over Miao silver ornaments, illuminates the nights of Dong grand songs, and flows through the water landscapes of the Bouyei people. It is not ostentatious but, with precise color and texture, safeguards every bit of the purest, most pristine joy on stage.

Mighty Qin: An Era Illuminated by a Letter Home

Starting from the heartfelt letter of soldier "Hei Fu," the lighting eschews grand imperial narratives, focusing instead on individual joys and sorrows. Within the specially designed ultra-wide visual theater, light beams act like a historian's brush, depicting the hardships of the marching troops and outlining the tenderness of moonlight over a hometown, ultimately converging into an unstoppable tide of history moving toward unification.

The Resurrected Legion: Giving Clay a Heartbeat

In the homeland of the Terracotta Army, light becomes the magic that awakens history. It endows the clay figures with the shadows of life and contours of emotion. In scenes of siege, letters home, and sacrifice, it creates a suffocating sense of wartime oppression and heart-wrenching familial bonds. Light gives the slumbering legion warmth and stories.

On the evening of September 16, in Shipu, a fishing town with thousands of years of history, the bustling city scene during the day of the fishing festival was just over, and the lights of the coastal night were ushered in.

On the night of midsummer on June 15th, 'Smiling Ningbo · Sail the Asian Games' Ningbo City's 100-day countdown to the Asian Games themed cultural evening was staged in Ningbo Xiangshan Yafan Center.

From January 1, 2021, the outdoor show Dreaming of Tengwangge opened its curtain. Under the principle of respecting traditional history, "Dream of Tengwangge" combines the thoughts of film and traditional Chinese opera, gathering high stage technology, assisted by sound, light, electricity and large mechanical equipment, and created the first performance form that combines garden visit experience and immersive interactive performance.

The large-scale immersive outdoor performance "song of the moon" was opened on the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival on October 1, and led people to travel through time and space back to thousand years ago.

Beijing International Light Festival will come to Yuyuantan Park, Beijing from August 20. This 18000 square meters immersive light artwork exhibition combines the nature landscape of the park with special effects devices to perfectly present the artworks on the basis of the original natural form. It is made of 15 artworks to provide a feast of sight and hearing.

For hundreds of years, Xi'an called Chang'an in the past was the capital of ancient Chinese dynasties. The first landmark in Xi'an is the ancient city wall with more than 1400 years history. This month, a renewed large-scale play dreaming of Chang'an with the spectacular city wall as its background, opened its curtains.
