On September 25 and 27, the opening and closing gala performances of the 7th National Ethnic Minority Literature and Art Festival were broadcast on CCTV's Variety Channel. With a high-standard ethnic cultural and artistic feast, the galas resounded with the main theme of ethnic unity, endowing the country's first Ethnic Unity and Progress Publicity Week and the Mid-Autumn Festival with profound contemporary significance. The National Ethnic Minority Literature and Art Festival is jointly hosted by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Radio and Television Administration, China Media Group, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government. It is an important cultural platform for showcasing the cultural diversity of all ethnic groups and enhancing exchanges, communication, and integration among them.

The 7th National Ethnic Minority Literature and Art Festival was held in Beijing from August 18 to September 23, 2026. A total of 48 outstanding productions were staged in multiple theatres across Beijing, with 114 wonderful performances, setting a new record for the number of productions in the festival's history. The productions covered a wide range of art forms including drama, opera, traditional Chinese opera, dance drama, musical theatre, and acrobatics. Closely focusing on the main thread of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and adhering to a people-centered creative orientation, this year's festival presented a batch of outstanding stage art works that embody the depth of Chinese culture, draw nourishment from the cultures of all ethnic groups, and integrate modern civilization.

The opening ceremony gala, broadcast on September 25, consisted of a prologue and three chapters: "Shared Bloodline and Roots," "Shared Beauty of Home," and "One Heart of China." The 14 programs comprehensively employed artistic forms such as song, dance, instrumental music, scene performance, and intangible cultural heritage displays, of which 12 were newly created for this gala. The closing ceremony gala, broadcast on September 27, consisted of a prologue, two chapters — "Colorful Scroll" and "Striving Chapter" — and a theme song, with a total of 10 programs including song, dance, instrumental music, traditional Chinese opera, and children's theatre. The opening gala achieved 6.425 million single-event views on Yangshipin, and the bullet comments of "great unity of all ethnic groups" witnessed the public's love for and resonance with cultural content on ethnic unity, also demonstrating the powerful role of literature and art in coalescing public sentiment and cultivating deep feelings.

On the stage of the opening and closing ceremonies of this national-level ethnic cultural and artistic event, multiple professional lighting fixtures from FINE ART used precise light and shadow to passionately support the contemporary scroll of ethnic unity. The FINE 1700LH BSWF four-in-one framing light served as the mainstay with a strong lineup of 270 units at the opening ceremony and 85 units at the closing ceremony. With an outstanding color rendering index of Ra and R9 both greater than or equal to 95, it accurately reproduced the brilliant colors of the ethnic costumes and the rich layers of the stage scenery. Equipped with dual color wheels with 12 professional color filters, CMY infinite color mixing combined with CTO linear color temperature adjustment, one rotating gobo wheel with 6 pluggable gobos, and one fixed gobo wheel with 9 gobos working together with a dynamic effect wheel, it created, as the three chapters "Shared Bloodline and Roots," "Shared Beauty of Home," and "One Heart of China" unfolded, a moving picture of all ethnic groups living, learning, building, and sharing together, allowing every program to blossom with ethnic splendor in precise light and color.

The FINE iSPOT PILOT ground follow-spot system used innovative technology to solve the traditional challenges of follow-spot operation. With low-latency fiber-optic cabling, real-time tracking cursor and target cursor precisely locked onto every performer on stage. The multi-height mode enabled free adjustment of spot height when encountering steps, effortlessly handling the complex stage scheduling of the opening and closing ceremonies, ensuring every heartfelt performance by performers of all ethnic groups was clearly captured. The FINE 4000XF high-power follow spot was born for long-distance projection. Using a 4000W xenon lamp as its light source, it delivers a stable 6000K color temperature and a color rendering index of Ra ≥ 96. Suitable for live television recording, it provided solid assurance for CCTV's broadcast images with high-fidelity light quality, allowing audiences nationwide to feel the brilliant charm of ethnic art through the screen.

As the songs of all ethnic groups converge into the mighty power of unity, and as Chinese people on and off the screen join this covenant of one heart, FINE ART uses light as a brush, not only illuminating every brilliant moment of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 7th National Ethnic Minority Literature and Art Festival, but also reflecting the contemporary atmosphere of the Chinese nation's diversity in unity and hearts building dreams together.
