FINE ART Illuminates the Time-Spanning Passionate Chapter of Serialized · 1978
On the evening of May 14, at the Guangdong Art Theatre, the original fantasy musical Serialized · 1978, co-produced by Southern Song and Dance Troupe and Mutian Juhai Culture Media, had its premiere, delivering an audio-visual feast about dreams and perseverance through a time-spanning,narrative.



The play adopts a dual storyline, focusing on An Ning, a contemporary comic artist trapped in creative difficulties. She finds inspiration in a mysterious diary from the 1970s. The diary’s words, full of hope for the future, give birth to a parallel dimension within the comic Serialized · 1978: a bold and sincere young man named Sui Sheng breaks free from social constraints and joins companions on a treasure-hunting adventure to pursue his ideals. When the pressure of reality forces An Ning to alter the story she is drawing, the fate of the comic characters also shifts. The interweaving and collision of reality and fiction, through layers of dramatic climax, reflect a of the choices, struggles and perseverance of young people in the early days of reform and opening up.




In this time-spanning stage narrative, multiple professional lighting fixtures from FINE ART, with their outstanding light efficiency, painted the light and shadow backdrop for both the real world and the comic world. The FINE 1680LH BSWF four‑in‑one framing light served as the workhorse, delivering a maximum output of 40,000 lm with excellent light quality (Ra ≥ 95, R9 ≥ 90), accurately reproducing the understated tones of the local social landscape in 1978 and the delicate textures of characters’ expressions.



The FINE 4019 WASH high-power LED moving head wash light, with its powerful output (30,000 lux at 6 meters at narrow angle) and wide zoom range from 4° to 60°, met diverse lighting needs from spotlight soliloquies to lively ensemble scenes. Its smooth and delicate dimming, with flicker-free start-up at low brightness, perfectly matched the emotional ebb and flow of the musical. At the forefront of the stage, the FINE 150 FT color professional footlight, using its R, G, B, L four-color system to produce color temperatures from 2500K to 10,000K (Ra and R9 both above 90), featured an asymmetrical dual-row independently controlled light design. With soft, even coverage, it illuminated the faces of the characters, reflecting the determined expressions of every ordinary dream chaser.
